Technical Facts Behind a Custom Profile Review
- Profile geometry requires a dimensioned cross-section drawing or measurable sample.
- Material grade and standard are reviewed separately from visual profile similarity.
- Tolerance, straightness, corner radius and surface condition affect tooling and process feasibility.
- Cutting, drilling, punching, welding or coating must be identified as secondary operations.
- A sample image does not prove that two profiles share the same material, tolerance or end use.
What to Send for a Factory Review
- Dimensioned section drawing in PDF, STEP or another agreed format.
- Steel grade and applicable GB, ASTM/SAE, EN/DIN or JIS standard.
- Critical dimensions, tolerance, straightness and corner requirements.
- Bar length, fixed-length cutting and secondary processing requirements.
- Trial quantity, annual demand, inspection documents and destination country.
Buyer FAQ
Can Junxiong quote a profile from only a photograph?
A photograph can identify the general shape, but it is not enough for a production quotation. Send a dimensioned section drawing, material grade, tolerance, length and quantity.
Does every sample represent a stocked profile?
No. Many samples are drawing-based sections or application references. Tooling, minimum order quantity and processing scope must be confirmed for the specific RFQ.
